Ownership of Content
All Rambler Books logos, designs, site code, and original content are the property of Rambler Books or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Where users contribute content (such as reviews, discussions, uploaded works, or metadata), you retain ownership of your contributions. By submitting content, you grant Rambler Books a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host, reproduce, display, and distribute your content in connection with our services. You represent that you have all rights necessary to grant this license.
Respect for Copyright
It is against our Terms of Service to upload, share, or distribute any material that infringes on another party’s rights. Do not upload pirated books, scans, or materials for which you do not have permission.
DMCA Notice & Takedown Procedure
If you believe that content on Rambler Books infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated Copyright Agent at dmca@ramblerbooks.com including the following:
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works);
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (URL or direct link);
- A statement that you have a good‑faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf;
- Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable for email notices).
Upon receipt of a valid notice, we may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted it.
Counter‑Notice Procedure
If your content was removed and you believe it was taken down due to mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter‑notice to dmca@ramblerbooks.com that includes:
- Your full name, postal address, telephone number, and email address;
- Identification of the material that has been removed and the location where the material appeared before it was removed (URL);
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good‑faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed;
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your country of residence (and, if outside the UK or Singapore, that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notice);
- Your physical or electronic signature.
When we receive a valid counter‑notice, we may forward it to the original complainant. Unless the complainant notifies us that they have filed a court action to restrain you from engaging in the allegedly infringing activity, we may restore the material within a reasonable time.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In appropriate circumstances, and at our discretion, we may terminate accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers.
Misuse of the DMCA Process
Submitting false claims may result in legal consequences. Please ensure you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf before sending a notice.
